Beauty by God. Introduction

Around the heavily pregnant bride, the renowned French designer crawled on his knees. Seated behind a transparent table was a slender, elegant woman - the director of the Paris showroom on Champs-Élysées. We were in the heart of Haute Couture at the Parisian representation of the most beautiful and expensive lace in the modern world. The lady measured me with a cold gaze; in a split second, she assessed my social status: shoes, purse, and jewelry speak without words. If it weren't for the presence of the elegant millionaires Leonard and Philip behind me, she wouldn't have even let me through the door. I immediately longed for home. But the lace I saw behind her was of unbelievable beauty.

I looked at Leonard; we needed to quickly place an order for fabrics and escape from this unwelcoming place. "Show her your sketches," Leonard said. I really, really didn't want to do it. I felt out of place in this glamorous world. What could I say to the splendid lady sitting on a high stool, like the Snow Queen on her throne? Meanwhile, the designer selecting lace for a wedding dress and his client had already left. I took out a folder with my sketches and put them in front of the lady with a sense of doom. What happened next was incredible!

The lady casually took the sheets with my sketches for Bible Dress collection, started looking through them, and tears welled up in her eyes. Seeing this, I began to explain to her the Biblical significance of the dresses in the sketches. She lifted her tearful, astonished eyes to us and whispered, "I don't understand, I don't understand what's happening to me!"

God touched the heart of this woman right in the midst of Paris, in the luxurious showroom of an elite High Fashion company. God used ordinary watercolor sketches for His message and touched the depths of the human soul.

No matter who you are - a doctor, a driver, a mother, or a chef - everything you do with Jesus in your heart, with love for God and people, can serve as God's message for lost souls, sometimes even more than words and preaching.

In this book, I will share how we translated the Bible into the language of High Fashion, creating dresses that tell people about Jesus. Each dress has its own story...
